In-Person Weekend Workshop
Professional and Graduating Actors

We are based in two cities - London and Manchester. Workshops take place over a full weekend, once per month in each city. From time to time, we also run online courses - see details here.

Our weekend workshops run from 10am-4pm both days. Every month is different, with a focus on specific techniques and processes, alongside top industry guests. Techniques include Stanislavsky’s Toolkit, Actioning, Meisner, Emotional Recall, Laban-Malmgren, Katie Mitchell, Movement/Voice, General American accent, Tucker’s Acting for Screen, Punchdrunk, Uta Hagen and George Bukhari’s ‘The Pitch’.

CMA London 21st/22nd March 2026
Train with Testament Producer ahead of New Season

Producer and star of Testament John Omole will lead an intensive screen acting workshop. Testament Season 1 is the most popular series to date on the Angel Studios platform and Season 2 is scheduled for shooting in May-November this year. Casting will commence in late March/April, so this is the perfect opportunity to meet and work with John ahead of all the new parts he will be working on.

John has a huge range of experience across stage and screen, with credits including Chewing Gum, McDonald & Dodds, The Feed, Hollyoaks and Hamlet (RSC). He is also a guest lecturer and director at various institutions across the UK.

John will select scenes from Testament (Season 1) for you to prepare and work on, taking you through various screen acting exercises and offering guidance on what the creative team look for when casting actors in the show.

Majid will co-lead the workshop, with more acting techniques to add to your toolkit.

Acting Teacher to Tom Hardy & Michael Fassbender

David Salter has taught Michael Fassbender and Tom Hardy. He has directed Rachel Weisz, Paul Rudd and Ralph Fiennes. He has worked alongside Howard Barker and Peter Stein.

This will be his first ever private acting workshop, exclusively for CMA Manchester.

David is currently Head of Acting at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. He led the Acting Programme at Manchester School of Theatre, and has taught at RADA and Drama Centre.

Over the course of the weekend, David will lead you through a scene study and work on the ‘three tempo’ exercise. Develop your craft with an in-depth exploration of process, character and performance.

Video Game Acting Masterclass with Assassin’s Creed Star

Assassin’s Creed regular Zora Bishop will lead a masterclass in video game acting this April. Zora has a huge range of experience across the video game world, with recent credits including Assassin's Creed: Origins, Star Wars Outlaws, Final Fantasy XVI, Diablo IV and Forza Horizon 5.

She has taught and delivered masterclasses at various institutions across the UK, including LIPA and Manchester School of Theatre.

Zora will guide you through practical exercises and introduce you to the world of acting in gaming - how to adapt your voice and body to give life to animated characters.

Casting Intensive with Leila Ali

Leila Ali is a casting associate for Sonia Allam CDG. She was part of the casting department behind Adolescence, Silverpoint, Brassic and forthcoming ITV series The Blame. Leila will select scenes for you to work on and provide 1-1 feedback in the room. The workshop will end with an exclusive Q&A, giving you the chance to ask about the casting process and booking screen acting jobs.

Casting Intensive with Peter Hunt CDG

Peter Hunt is an award-winning Casting Director and in recent years has overseen the casting for all scripted projects at Lime Pictures UK. Having cast over a thousand hours of broadcast TV drama and Comedy, Peter continues to work on an array of exciting projects. Recent highlights include Hollyoaks/Brookside (Channel 4), Wolf King, and Zero Chill (Netflix) and Girl Troupe vs Aliens (BBC). In 2023 he was awarded the ‘Tony Warren’ award at the British Soap Awards recognizing his work and contribution to the genre.

Peter will share insights from his work in casting and provide in-person feedback on screen scenes chosen prior to the workshop.
